Winner of 17 Gambero Rosso Tre Bicchieri Awards - Gambero Rosso Winery of the Year 1999
Planeta operates five wineries, Noto, Vittoria, Sambuca, Menfi and Etna, which stretch across Sicily from east to west in some of the hottest and driest climates. Each winery provides unique conditions, from the soil to the vines, altitude to the temperature, creating grapes with distinct characteristics.

The Gambero Rosso Wine Guide is considered the Bible of Italian wines. For the 2007 guide, a panel of wine experts tasted 16,000 wines from over 2000 Italian Wineries and awarded just 282 wines the top accolade of 'Tre Bicchieri'.
