A Rosso di Montalcino with a brilliant ruby color with some youthful purplish hues. The nose opens on floral aromas, notes of berries and light spicy nuances. The sip is lively with juicy fruit. A medium-bodied red that manages to combine elegance and complexity with fragrance and freshness. Once the harvest is over, the grapes are sent for the traditional red vinification with a period of maceration on the skins of about 18 days. The wine ages in oak barrels for 12 months and completes the refinement process with a few months in the bottle before being put on sale. The "Campo ai Sassi" wine comes from the vineyards of the Castel Giocondo estate, which is located south-west of the village of Montalcino, at an altitude of about 300 meters in an ideal terroir for the production of Sangiovese. A wine with great potential that has the same characteristics as Brunello, but in a more youthful and disengaged version.
