Maremma Toscana IGT
Baffo Nero

  • Vintage: 2007
  • Classification: IGT
  • Grape Variety: 100% Merlot
  • Alcohol: 14%
  • Volume: 750ml

Buffo Nero is a wine which tells the story of Tuscan boar hunters and the landoin which they hunted . It displays power, persistence and the unique flavours only found in this part of Tuscany. Deep ruby red in colour, so intense it is almost opaque. On the nose, an explosion of fruit with an unending range of black fruits wrapped in a soft veil of vanilla. In the glass the aromatic components evolve towards tobacco, chocolate and a touch of coffee. Its complexity is immediately apparent to the palate, with a fullness that remains throughout the tasting. Roast beef, and lamb stews are a must with this wine.
