This wine is produced with Sangiovese, Cabernet and Merlot grapes, all from Villa Cusona-owned vineyards, are enriched by
a small selection of other red grape varieties. Vini cation in still, with maceration on skins. Several months bottle ageing.

Produced mainly with Sangiovese grapes, this Chianti is vinified with the utmost respect for tradition. Vinification in vitrified cement tanks with maceration in contact with the skins. No passage in wood, to enhance its youthful qualities. The label depicts the historian Francesco Guicciardini, seated at the table that still exists in the historic Biblioteca Guicciardiniana in Palazzo Guicciardini.

Sodole was first produced in 1983 and is named after the part of the Cusona estate from which it originates. This winery belongs to the Guicciardini Strozzi family. The current owners of the winery are sisters Natalia and Irini Strozzi - Mona Lisa's 15th great-granddaughter and great-great-niece of Sir Winston Churchill. It is produced only in the best vintages with the most demanding selection of Sangiovese grapes. Long maceration, followed by aging for 12 months in French oak barrels. It then ages in bottles for another year.
