The winery Eugenio Collavini of Friuli, vinifies this sensational dessert wine on the Colli Orientali del Friuli. This wine has a golden yellow color with interesting amber veins. The scent, in the nuances of the aromas, opens on notes of honey, raisin and dried apple. The taste on the palate is dense and consistent, its honey tones blend with fresher notes and fruitier ending with pleasant caramel sensations.

Andrea di Pec was considered a guru of agriculture and and viticulture in his time . His development of some of the finest wine producing areas in friuili is still making an impact almost five hundred years later. This clear, pale yellow wine offers scents of grapefruit with a hints of honey and almonds. The palate is dry with a balance of crisp acidity, flavours of bitters almonds and grapefruit leading towards a clean citrus finish. Serve as an aperitif or with pasta and fish soups.

The Villa Canlungo (long dog) label is named after the family pet Dachshund, very much part of the Collavini estate. This premium Pinot Grigio is straw coloured with veins of copper, has a full and penetrating scent with hints of new mown hay. The nose offers flowery sensations with hints of citrus fruits. In the mouth it is well balanced, silky and savoury showing lengthy mineral and citrus flavours.

The Refosco grapes are harvested in small vats and then placed in our ventilated drying room to concentrate both texture and flavours. The fermentation of the destemmed grapes lasts about 15 days in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Ageing occurs in small seasoned oak barrels for about one year.

The Benedete Ribolla Gialla Venezia Giulia from the Friuli-Venezia Giulia wine-growing region is a brilliant, shimmering light yellow in the glass. This varietal Italian wine shows wonderfully expressive notes of lime, pomelo, star fruit and acacia in the glass. There are also hints of other fruits.

On the palate, the Benedete Ribolla Gialla Venezia Giulia by Eugenio Collavini starts out pleasantly dry, with a good grip and aromatic. The finale of this youthful white wine from the Friuli-Venezia Giulia wine region convinces with a beautiful aftertaste.

From a region famous for a microclimate most suited to the production of excellent white wines, this is an excellent modern example produced from an ancient, local grape variety using  traditional methods
