Arquilla wines celebrated in favourable reviews.
Renowned wine critic James Suckling has just released his Tasting Report: 2008 Turriga Leading the Way for Sardinia, where Argiolas received a string of accolades.
We are pleased to report that ARGIOLAS Turriga Isola dei Nuraghi 2008 received an outstanding 96 points, with Suckling describing it as "full-bodied with a lovely balance of chocolate and berry character, and very silky tannins" as well as "rich and classy". In a review that is nearly flawless, Suckling also declares that it “is the best release this year in Sardinia and is perhaps the best Turriga ever".
Featuring Carignano, Bovale, and Cannonau, varieties native to Sardinia and always championed by Argiolas, it is noted that this the 20th year of production of this great wine.
Suckling recommends you try it in 2016 when the tannins are softer, though it is highly recommended for drinking now.
