Celebrated wine reviewer, James Suckling, has named the Amarone Riserva Sergio Zenato Vintage 2008 from Zenato as one of the Top 100 Best Wines of 2014 Worldwide.
Awarded a staggering 96 points, the wine is described as a "very high, perfurmed red", with notes of "flowers, clovers, cedar and lots of blackberry".
Suckling also noted that it is "full-bodied, round and lightly raisiny with a Christmas cake and dark chocolate undertone" with a delicate balance between "big and juicy, but firm and racy".
An ideal wine for meat lovers and a perfect match for slow roasted meats and succulent juices.
This can be enjoyed now or in the future, with Suckling noting that it is "gorgeous now, but built for ageing".
Arquilla congratulates Zenato on this outstanding achievement.
