Gourmet Traveller Wine GuideGourmet Traveller Wine Magazine recently published its list of the top 200 European wines for $50 and under, and nine Arquilla wines made an appearance on the list.

The Bellussi Prosecco continued its fame, following its appearance in the recent Drinks Trade Champagne and Sparkling Wine List, with Gourmet Traveller stating that 'if you are curious about Prosecco, this is a great place to start.'

The Cantina Terlan Sauvignon Winkl Alto Adige DOC was described by Gourmet Traveller as 'really delicious', the Argiolas Serra Lori Isola dei Nuraghi IGT was classified as simply 'brilliant' and comment was also passed on the 'superb' Pio Cesare Il Nebbio Langhe Rosso DOC, which was one of the few in the list to achieve an impressive 5 stars.

All other Arquilla wines included on the list achieved a 4 star rating, such as the Domenico Clerico Visadi Langhe Dolcetto DOC, which was commended for its use of 'nice dark fruit flesh' and its 'lithe texture and expressive cherry liqueur flavour.'

Gourmet Traveller enjoyed the 'supple and even' palate of the Liberta Toscano IGT but also took pleasure in the 'creamy solid' palate of the Cantina Terlan Alto Adige Pinot Noir. The Palazzone Umbria IGT Rubbio was celebrated for being 'bright, fresh, lively and open.'

We were also pleased to see that one of our Spanish producers made the list, with the El Coto Rioja wine praised for its 'richness and power.'

Congratulations to all of the producers that made it on to this coveted list.
